Rescue Diver

Have you ever watched the Japanese movie: Umizaru? If you did, you would have seen how the hero rescued other divers and you could be the hero for someone else too!

This course will expand your knowledge and experience level: Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. The PADI Rescue Diver course goals are to:-

Anticipate and prevent problems as well as to manage them.

Utilise effective rescue techniques and first aid skills specific to diving.

Learn to manage diver emergency situations. Your course will consist of the following modules:-

  • 5 Knowledge Development Sessions
  • 5 Confined Pool Sessions
  • 4 Open Water Dives

Theory Session



Theory sessions are held during the timing listed below. Unlike other dive centers which charge a variable fee for additional sessions or fixed allocation of theory sessions, Sunny Cove does not have any limit at all.

   
Monday – 1900Hrs – 2200Hrs Saturday – 1100Hrs – 1330Hrs or 1400Hrs – 1730Hrs*

We want you to be in control. If you require extra theory sessions to clear your doubt, feel free to schedule more. We want to ensure that you are equipped with the necessary knowledge before you proceed to the confined pool session. If you prefer to have a lesson between the time slot of 1400hrs – 1730hrs, there will be an additional charge of S$ 10 on top of the course fee.

Here are two methods that you may complete your theory session.

Self-Study Program
Your personal copy of study material will be provided during sign up. You are required to go through them before scheduling another date at Sunny Cove for the instructor to clear any doubts you may have. Quizzes and exam will be administered at the end of the session. Questions are all multiple choice questions.

Classroom Presentation
An instructor will go through the entire study material with you and the duration of each session is determined by your ability to understand the concept. Quizzes and exam will be administered at the end of the session. Questions are all multiple choice questions.

Confined Pool Practise


Tuesday- 1830Hrs – 2200Hrs Saturday- 1430Hrs – 1830Hrs Sunday- 0930Hrs – 1330Hrs*

Confined pool session are conducted at Outram Secondary School unless stated otherwise. If you prefer to have a session on Sunday from 0930hrs – 1330hrs, there will be an additional charge of S$ 18 on top of the course fee.

Your Instructor will go through the required basic skills with you and evaluate your performance. Once you have demonstrate competency in all skills, you will be allowed to participate in the open water dive portion of your course.

Home Delivery Service*
You may either drop us an email at info@sunnycove.com.sg or give us a buzz at 63338819 to request our staff to arrange the materials to be send to your mailing address.

Email Registration
Please download the forms listed below. You will need to email us the ‘Diver Particulars Form’ back by clicking the submit button on top of the form. The other set of document must be submitted when you pick up the study material. Once we have receive your electronic registration form, our staff will contact you to arrange a date for you to pick up the study material.

Walk-In Registration
Registration forms will be given when you walk-in for registration. After all forms had been filled, our staff will go through with you the dates for your lesson and please feel free to ask our friendly staff any questions you might have. Please do give us a buzz at 63338819 before you drop by.

* An additional surcharge of SGD 10 will be billed for home delivery
^ A non-refundable deposit of SGD 100 is required regardless of the method you select. The deposit will be deducted from the total course fee.
