Tioman is the biggest and most impressive island at the east coast. There is a brisk jungle covers a ridge on the west section of the island, which ends at the idyllic location of a beautiful palm fringed beach.

Tioman offers a wide range of activities for visitors: snorkeling in crystal clear water, discover the beautiful underwater world when you go diving, or just laze on the beach while you work on that tan. Also, there is a jungle on the island that is just begging to be explored. The dense forest is a habitat for many kinds of flora and fauna.

Tioman is still rated as one of the world’s most beautiful islands. It presents itself as a paradise island in the tropics. But sometimes you have to search for this paradise off the beaten track.

Trip Information

Land transfer from Singapore to Mersing Jetty will take 3½ hours

Participants will spend the night in a hotel if night crossing is not possible

Boat transfer to Paya Beach Resort next morning will take about 1½ hours

All rooms are air-conditioned & comes with attached bathroom

There are hot shower facilities available

Visibility range between 10m – 40m

Dive sites are all around with the nearest just 10 minutes away

Average depth for all dive sites are about 18m with the deepest at 35m

There are a couple of shipwrecks around the vincinity

Pulau Dayang

Pulau Dayang is a small island located almost 80km east of Mersing, West Malaysia. It’s directly opposite Pulau Aur divided by a small channel which means the dive sites are the same for both island.

Due to it’s remote location, Pulau Dayang offers a white powdery beach and a nice, slow environment. When you are not diving, do find a hammock under the coconut tree and spend the quiet time looking at the clouds that drift pass or the babes strolling along the beach. The only downside of it’s location is, there is no telephone reception on the island.

Ultimately, you will love the place for it’s serenity and turquoise blue water.

Pulau Aur

Approximately 71Km away from Mersing. It is another beautiful island with secluded lagoons and offshore pools perfect for bathing and adventure activities especially scuba diving.

Although Aur and Dayang Island are ‘unknown’ among Malaysians, it has been ‘discovered’ by many foreign tourists, mainly divers. The clear crystal water allows you to see colourful marine life from the boat. The island is completely exposed to the winds of the South China Sea, and there is about 300 settlers on the island.

The underwater topography consists mainly of several underwater Pinnacles which rise from 30m deep, boasting rich hard and soft coral growth and awe-inspiring submerged rock formations. Whale Sharks have been seen and delightful encounters with large Manta Rays are common.
